We had some fun plans to go to the Melting Pot (one of my favorite resturants) and go shopping and stuff....
well Friday the 6th i was having really bad pain and contractions 4 minutes apart so that morning at 7:30ish we headed to Ogden Regional Hospital because we didnt know if we'd be having a baby that day! well we got there and the doctor put me on a monitor and i wasnt dilating so they werent too worried about my contractions. They were more worried about the fact that my temperature was super super high. So they ordered some blood work and it turned out that i had a really high white blood cell count... They were mostly worried for the babies safety so i was kept on monitors all day... When the doc came in he informed me that i had a terrible Infection somewhere in my body and they couldnt figure out where at. He told me that if my white blood cell count didnt go down and my temp stayed high then he was going to deliver Lexei the next day.... (which happened to be May 7th.... our Anniversary...) we were excited but hoping they got this infection under control... so the doc told me he was going to keep me for 24 hours to make sure that nothing got worse and he left... we figured it was all okay cause we'd either get to go home the next day or have a baby...... :)
well the next day they took more blood cultures and my white blood cell count had only gone down to 14 from 15 and thats mega high.... my temperature was still spiking when the Tylanol would wear off so the doc said 24 more hours..... i was so sad... so we spent our Anniversary in the hospital together! haha My mom and Grandma Cox came up and played cards at the hospital with us. it wasnt quite how i expected my 1st anniversary to go but im just glad im okay now.
Sunday (Mothers Day) this way sweet nurse did every thing she could to make sure we'd be going home this day... of course with no baby because they finally got my temp under control... and about 30 minutes before we were about to leave we had a little scare and they thought my water broke.... so about an hour and a half later and a million tests they found out that it was just my catheter leaking..... (UGH) haha
needless to say, i got home and Nick and I both slept all day and all night... i never realized how much i love my bed!
the hospital was miserable so im just happy to be home and have all those I.V's out of my arm and nurses bugging constantly...
Now if my sweet baby would just come already... im 27 weeks today and she's developed 28 and 1/2 weeks... so she could come any day!
please pray that she comes soon.... like tonight :)
