Lately.

A lot has been going on around this Van Komen house.... too much to keep up with my blog!

Alexei is going to be a Giraffe for Halloween! She loves her little costume so much. Nick will be taking her down the street for a little trick or treating. more pictures later :)

Alexei can now roll in circles. She starts out under her toy and ends up across the room a second later!

i dont know if you all remember back to Nick and I's first anniversary... we were stuck in the hospital... i was still pregnant with Alexei and i had a random infection so I was there the weekend before she was born.... therefore we didnt get to open our wedding cake at our one year.... so we did this past weekend. Neither of us like cake so No, we didnt eat any of it haha

Our little chica is teething. she's so fussy and never wants to go to sleep. She always ends up falling asleep sitting up.

This little beauty is what i see every morning. There is no better smile than going in her room when i hear her in the morning. She just looks at you and gives you a priceless smile. i cant even explain how much that little smile means to me.

Grizzly games are back in season!! Yay! our little family loves these things. Alexei also LOVES having a taste of all of our treats we get! shes getting so big :)

My cute little girl loves ANY bouncy toy. its so cute.

Colorado October 2011

October 7 we headed to Colorado!
Our cute family went, Mark & Julie my brother and sister in law went, Braxton Carter, Cody Bearce and Chris Choi went with us!

Alexei found her love for this toy while we were there! thank goodness Uncle Choi had one for her when she got home! she spent hours in this toy!

Choi found his love for Scratch Cards.
Yeah... he won $400 off of one scratch card!

Nick and Mark's Neices LOVED having them there! they "set appointments" and did hair and nails in Rachels Salon! this is Elvis Mark. everyone was stylin!

Saturday morning we woke up early to go to the Miner girls soccer games and it was blizzarding outside! Everyone played in the snow [except me and Julie] haha

Alexei's first time seeing snow!

She loved it! Nick gave her a little taste and she loved it!

We left the house around 2 in the afternoon cause the retirement started at 5!
We got some early dinner at Hard Rock! i wish the one in SLC was still open!

Alexei got so many compliments! There was a huge group that flew in from detroit to go to the game cause half of them were ave's fans and one of them asked to take a picture of Alexei in her Jersey. :)

Remember a few years back when we got to see Joe Sakic retire? we have now seen 2/4 retirements live! i think we'll keep the tradition going :)

Peter Forsberg speaking. not a dry eye in the whole place.

Alexei enjoying the ceremony

And then the game started!

Sadly we lost... but Ave's still have an awesome record! some how they win on the road but not at home!

after the game Alexei was beat. She had so much fun but she was so sleepy.

by far the BEST trip ive ever been on with friends! we had such a good time and everyone just enjoyed everyones company!
This will for sure happen again
[can i just say that i love my in laws! i couldnt ask for a better family to marry into!]
