General Tsos chicken

Tonight Nick and I made dinner together!

We made General Tso's Chicken...

Nick has lost 16 pounds since he started working at Pepsi! We've been working really hard on eating right and excercising together!

This recipe tells you to fry the chicken and doesnt have fresh veggies with it...

We didnt fry the chicken and we ate veggies with it (obviously)

I love cooking with my cute husband. hes such a good teacher. I'm so proud of him for losing weight! he's doing such a great job and he does so much for Lex and I.

Friday my mom and i had a date. we took Alexei toher best friends Bailley and Karen Carter! They love her so much and lex loves them!

our appointment was at 10 am and weboth got facials! that were much needed :)

afterwards we went to Zupas, and if you know Nick and I we arent huge fans of this place. but i'll take a mango berrysalad any day :)

then we headed up to Primary Childrens.

We ate lunch with Emily and hung out with little Ethan... He's doing alot better and is now out of the NICU even though they still have a long road ahead things are starting to look up! :)

I love dates with my mom! i love talking and getting advise that is much needed in my life!

Sunday morning i started on these babies!

i made rainbow jello for the Van Komen family dinner and they turned out GREAT! i was a little worried about all the flavors mixed together but it turned out good!

We made these for dinner last night:)

It turned out soooo good. just like the Cheese Cake Factory.

Cucumbers,Chicken, Carrots,Bean Sprouts, and Curry noodles

Peanut sauce and Sweet Chili dipping sauce

Flower pot craft.

The first Valentines decoration is done... after 2 days of working on it!

Some people on Facebook were asking how to do it... Here is the LINK.

A couple things i did differently... i tried to make it as cheap as possible... my flower pot was one the ugly red flower pots that was like $1.50 at hobby lobby. i just painted it instead of buying a more fancy expensive flower pot. On the inside theres supposed to be a piece of foam that fits the pot... but it gets expensive so i bought the smallest piece of foam and then stuffed the rest with old newspaper... and then last the tutorial called for "Fake moss" to cover the stuff in the pot. this was $5 for a tiny bag at hobby lobby so i just took some old scrap vinyl i already had to cover all of the insides...

I think it turned out good! those dang flowers took soooo long!! but it was totally worth it!

Bear Lake 2011

The week after Christmas my parents got a condo at Bear Lake! Nick and I went up on Nicks "Weekend" [Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday]

We had so much fun.

We played so many games, ate such yummy food, soaked in the huge hot tub, sledded and lots more!

Alexei's first Christmas.

Alexei's first Christmas was wonderful!

Nick and I had such a fun time providing christmas for our own children for the first year ever! We had such a good time together.
